Love Is In the Air This Christmas

This is a short story from a writing prompt I got off of Pinterest (the author is unknown) Prompt: write a short story inspired by a Christmas song or incorporate it into the story. I chose the song Wrapped in Red by: Kelly Clarkson. This story is a complete work of fiction. Any names, places, or events that are in this story is a complete work of fiction.   EVE: It is a weird feeling being surrounded by so many people when you are feeling dejected. Everybody’s happy. The hum of their voices as some sing and others laughing all around me makes me feel even more lonely. I knew better than to come to the christmas festival, but my best friend was excited and I didn’t want to cancel on her again. I normally love this; all the decorations and lights are reasons enough to attend, but it’s the food that was the ultimate deciding factor for me. I am reaching for a warm gingerbread man when I see you. Snow is falling down around you and I swear I have never seen anything or anyone more breath

You may be asking yourself how did I get myself into this situation well, to be honest I'm not entirely sure myself. I pick up speed because I know they are still following me. I did something that is unforgivable and I know they won't let me get away. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to keep running. Something is going to stop me whether that is nature, terrain, or my own body, however I refuse to think about that. A mile or two more and then I
