How I started this crazy ride to chasing my dream.

 Hello, my name is Jennifer Froh.

Welcome to my new blog. I have been on a crazy journey full of changes and growth as a person the past year and a half. I want to tell you my story of how I came to start the process of following my dream to be an author.

It started in June of 2021, and I had left a job I was at for ten years. Yes, TEN YEARS! I am not going to get into that story with many details but lets just say towards the end it was not healthy place for me to be. 

I started looking for a new job and it took me so long to find one too. Almost 3 months to be exact. The people in my life were very supportive and helped me out more than they will ever know. While I was looking for a job I decided to sit down at a local coffee shop and begin writing my first new adult fiction novel. It flowed out of me and I had it almost completely wrote by the time I found a job.

I am slowly beginning to find confidence to tell people what my dream was and what I really wanted to do with my life. I am not there yet but each day I am closer to that dream and let me tell you something. Following what you're passionate about and what you love is not only hard and taxing but it is also very gratifying.

I still have a lot to do and learn before I can publish but I am getting closer and I can see the finish line. I am building confidence in what I am writing and becoming more excited about the day that one day I can share my work with people.

So, I know you probably want to know what book is about well I will release that soon as its own post but I do want to say that I was surprised by my own writing. My first book is a dark read with a lot of emotions but the events, people, and story is completely fiction and from my own imagination.

I have learned a lot from writing this to editing and how to find my voice as a writer. I am not perfect with grammar and spelling but I think I am doing a great job. I have some feedback and I am happy that I have people in my life that is honest and want to tell me what I need to adjust to make this dream a reality. I can't wait to keep going and see where this takes me and I would love for people to follow this with me. Turning 31! WHAT A WILD RIDE!

 I have been 31 for a week and let's say it has been a WILD RIDE. During the day I went to work and I was showered with love and the best wishes for a great birthday from not only my co-workers but all of the kids. After work I was going to meet my best friend and my favorite local author at a coffee house for a birthday treat. Sounds like the best way to celebrate, right? Well an unexpected twist of events occurred and I was unable to make it. I call my friend. "UM! I don't think I am going to make it!" She thought I was joking because she knew I was on my way. I am not going to go into any details but I was about two miles away when I was in a car accident. I can without a doubt say that I have the BEST people in my life. she was there at the scene in like 10 minutes due to after work traffic, but to me it felt like an eternity. ATMOSHERE!

To me environment is EVERYTHING!  If I am not feeling the environment, I do not feel like my writing is where it could be. If I get distracted I feel like I am moving nowhere. Atmosphere around needs to be just right. I need the lighting to be right. I need the music to fit the mood of my book. I need it not to be to still or quiet because I will look for movement and noice. I like to be surrounded by people that support me and can listen to my ideas with no judgement. When  am not feeling my surroundings I just can not write my best.
