ATMOSHERE!

To me environment is EVERYTHING! 

If I am not feeling the environment, I do not feel like my writing is where it could be.

If I get distracted I feel like I am moving nowhere.

Atmosphere around needs to be just right.

I need the lighting to be right.

I need the music to fit the mood of my book.

I need it not to be to still or quiet because I will look for movement and noice.

I like to be surrounded by people that support me and can listen to my ideas with no judgement.

When  am not feeling my surroundings I just can not write my best.

Turning 31! WHAT A WILD RIDE!

 I have been 31 for a week and let's say it has been a WILD RIDE. During the day I went to work and I was showered with love and the best wishes for a great birthday from not only my co-workers but all of the kids. After work I was going to meet my best friend and my favorite local author at a coffee house for a birthday treat. Sounds like the best way to celebrate, right? Well an unexpected twist of events occurred and I was unable to make it. I call my friend. "UM! I don't think I am going to make it!" She thought I was joking because she knew I was on my way. I am not going to go into any details but I was about two miles away when I was in a car accident. I can without a doubt say that I have the BEST people in my life. she was there at the scene in like 10 minutes due to after work traffic, but to me it felt like an eternity.
